    The History of the American Indians.  By James Adair.  Softcover, originally pub. 1775 this is 2013 reprint by Cambridge University Press, 464 pages.  Very good condition.  Adair was a trader who lived and worked for four decades among Native Americans and observed their languages, customs and politics.  He studied the Catawba, Cherokee, Muscogee, Chickasha and Choctaw.  The book propounds the theory that the ancestors of Native Americans were the lost tribes of Israel.  A classic on early Native Americans.  A facsimile reprint in the style of the origin publication so a bit difficult to read at first.  Shipping weight over 1 pound.
