The Florida Wars.  By Virginia Bergman Peters.  Hardcover, dj is in mylar, pub. 1979, 331 pages.  Ex-library with library markings on a number of pages, page edges, pocket and stamp on first page after endpapers, binding tight.  The Florida Wars between the U.S. Army and the Seminole tribe and allies led by leaders such as Osceola and Billy Bowlegs.  The wars include the early Spanish colonial wars in the early 1880s through three Seminole Wars which may have been the most expensive Indian wars fought by the U.S. Army.
Chronicles the fight, from 1810 to 1858, between the American military and the runaway slaves, free Blacks, and Indians trying to protect their land in Florida and block government efforts to have them removed to a reservation
to the West.
